Big Knife Outfitters:

Big Knife Outfitters is located in beautiful Donalda, Alberta Canada. Our hunting area consists of a number of Wildlife Management Units (WMU's), they are areas 204, 206, 226 and 230. Found within these areas is the world famous Battle River drainage. This drainage has produced many of Albertas top scoring trophies. The Battle River coupled with the lush crop-land creates mega-buck havens in the areas we hunt. Our lodge is located in east central Alberta as you will see on the map.

Hunting Methods:

Most of our deer hunting is done from heated box blinds situated in professionally selected locations. Glassing from the tops of our many coulees and river banks offers another very productive hunting means and a beautiful view of our vast area.

Hunts:

We offer single species hunts for whitetail deer, mule deer, and moose. You may also make a combination hunt for any of the animals we hunt, or a combination of all 3.

Dates:
November is when we do all of our hunting, with the first six days reserved for our moose hunts. These moose hunts always fall on the first six days of the season regardless of how the days may be allocated. Whitetail and mule deer hunts take place usually after the moose hunters are gone. Our whitetail and mule deer hunts are six day fly-in hunts that typically last from Sunday to Sunday. The only exception is our combination hunts that last 10 days.

Success:

Whitetail hunts have had 75% success on bucks scoring over 145 B&C

Mule deer hunts have had 90% success on bucks scoring over 180 B&C

Moose hunts have 100% success on bulls measuring over 40"
